Carolina Graphic Services Enhances Capabilities with Highcon Euclid II+ Digital Cutting & Creasing Machine

Highcon Euclid - Digital Die Cutting PlatformCarolina Graphic Services, a member of Interstate Resources, Inc., announces the purchase of the Highcon™ Euclid II+ digital cutting and creasing machine. The Highcon Euclid is “the first fully digital cutting and creasing machine for converting paper, labels, folding carton and microflute”. The direct-to-pack digital cutting and creasing machine transforms elaborate, expensive, time-consuming mechanical-based folding carton manufacturing process into a fast and flexible digital process [1].

With the installation of the latest generation Highcon Euclid digital cutter, Carolina Graphic Services can convert customer jobs without tooling and provide delicate and unlimited cutting options that were not possible using the conventional analogue die making process. Capitalizing on the new machine, Carolina Graphic Services will meet customer demand for innovative short to medium runs, as well as increase design flexibility and speed-to-market.

Chris Baker, Highcon VP Sales & Business Development, highlights,

“Carolina Graphic Services is an innovative and visionary company that is a natural fit for the Euclid.  They already have many ideas and plans to take advantage of the design flexibility and profitable short runs that are key benefits of the Euclid digital cutting and creasing machine.”

Highcon, digital converting solutions manufacturer, will announce the sale of the Euclid digital cutting and creasing machine to Carolina Graphic Services at Graph Expo 14 in Chicago, USA.

Highcon™ Euclid II+

The Euclid II+ offers a shorter set-up process and integrates Highcon’s Digital Adhesive Rule Technology (DART) which creates creases, and high-speed laser cutting and precision optics to cut on-demand cartons quickly, simply and accurately [2]. The machine also removes the need for a separate stripping tool with the Highcon Integrated Digital Stripping Unit, which automatically removes waste from the smallest internal cutouts.

The machine presents additional features which enhance quality, productivity and functionality, including:

  • Double speed throughput
  • Optical registration
  • Optimized cutting algorithms
  • Fine cutting accelerator
